We are looking for a Guest Relations Officer with excellent knowledge of the German language for full-time employment in one of the Corissia hotels in Georgioupolis or within the city of Chania in Crete, in order to strengthen the Front Office / Guest Relations department of the respective unit.

Georgioupolis: Full seasonal employment (April - end of October)
Chania: full-time (all year round) or seasonal (April - end of October)

Gross salary: 1.200 - 1.600 €
The final salary level will be determined on the basis of merit after the interview. Benefits may include, depending on the position, free daily meals at one of the restaurants in the facility or free accommodation in a fully renovated single or double room very close to the respective property. The terms of the sectoral collective agreement for hotel employees in Chania apply.

Job description

As a Guest Relations Officer, you will assume an extremely important position for the efficient operation of the hotel unit, as you will be the person who essentially represents the hotel during the guest's stay. Through the effective management of any customer needs and requests with friendliness and a genuine willingness for hospitality, you will be instrumental in achieving maximum customer satisfaction, which should be the primary objective of any modern hotel business.

Necessary skills

  • Communication skills and determination to manage issues effectively
  • Pleasant personality, friendliness and team spirit
  • Experience in sales and marketing
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous experience in a similar position will be appreciated but is not essential

The Greek hotel chain Corissia of the Tsiledakis family has been successfully operating in the tourism sector since 1985 and consists of 4 hotels in total, the Chania Flair Deluxe Boutique Hotel (5 stars) in the city of Chania, the Corissia Harmony (5 stars), the Corissia Princess (4 stars) and the Corissia Beach (4 stars) at the beach of Georgioupolis in Chania, Crete.

With the launch of a strategic partnership with Hilton, two additional luxury 5-star units are soon to be added to the hotel group within the city of Chania and the wider area of Georgioupolis, so that the group will have under its management more than 1500 hotel beds and will employ at least 400 people of all hotel specialties.
