Full-time all year round or seasonal (April - end of October)
Gross salary: € 1200 - 1500
The final salary level will be determined on the basis of merit after the interview. Benefits may include, depending on the position, free daily meals at one of the restaurants in the facility or free accommodation close to the respective property. The terms of the sectoral collective agreement for hotel employees in Chania apply.

Job description
As a Porter / Groom at Corissia Hotels & Resort, you will be part of the Front Office team, responsible for creating an excellent first impression for our guests. You will assist with luggage, accompany guests to their rooms, and provide support with various guest needs throughout their stay. With your courteous attitude, professionalism, and willingness to help, you will contribute significantly to the smooth running of daily operations and to the overall guest experience.
Typical responsibilities
- Welcome guests on arrival and assist with luggage handling, transport, and storage.
- Escort guests to their rooms and provide basic information about hotel facilities and services.
- Support the Front Office team with guest requests and errands.
- Ensure that public areas, entrances, and outdoor spaces remain tidy and presentable.
- Assist guests with transportation arrangements (e.g., taxis, transfers).
- Provide support during guest arrivals and departures to ensure smooth flow of operations.
- Deliver messages, packages, or amenities to guest rooms when required.
- Maintain a professional and helpful presence in the hotel lobby and entrance area.
Necessary skills
- Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented attitude.
- Pleasant personality, courtesy, and strong team spirit.
- Good knowledge of English (knowledge of German will be a plus).
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as carrying luggage.
- Reliability, discretion, and professional appearance.
- Previous experience in a similar role will be appreciated but is not essential.

Our secure 3-step booking procedure with personal support by your dedicated booking advisor.
- 1. Room Selection Please choose your desired room type on your prefered travel dates, select any extra options available and add the room to your personal room selection. You may add multiple rooms to your selection, if required.
- 2. Booking Request When you are ready, just send us your selection as a booking request, using the corresponding form. The booking request is absolutely non-binding. You will not be charged and you can cancel your booking request any time. Our dedicated team will get back to you to answer all questions or queries you may have, to confirm the current room availability and, if required, to assist you find the best available flights to Crete. We will also take care of your transfer from the airport to the hotel and back. Our personal support will be provided in writing by e-mail or in a follow up phone call, if you wish so.
- 3. Booking Confirmation To complete your booking, we kindly ask for a deposit of 20% of the total room rate. The balance can be settled upon arrival at the hotel. You can cancel free of charge (with deposit refund) at any time up to 15 days before arrival or alter your booking depending on availability.
