Full-time all year round or seasonal (April - end of October)

Gross salary: € 1000 - 1300

The final salary level will be determined on the basis of merit after the interview. Benefits may include, depending on the position, free daily meals at one of the restaurants in the facility or free accommodation close to the respective property. The terms of the sectoral collective agreement for hotel employees in Chania apply.

Job description

As an Assistant Accountant at Corissia Hotels & Resort, you will support the Finance Department in managing the daily accounting tasks of our hotel operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with reporting and audits. With attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion, you will play an important role in ensuring the financial integrity and smooth operation of the company’s accounting processes.

Typical responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments in accordance with company procedures.
  • Reconcile accounts and perform regular checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and submit required financial reports to management.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Monitor expenses and highlight discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments for smooth financial operations.

Necessary skills

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Good command of English; knowledge of Greek or German will be an advantage.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, MS Excel).
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.
