Full-time all year round or seasonal (April - end of October)

Gross salary: € 1300 - 1500

The final salary level will be determined on the basis of merit after the interview. Benefits may include, depending on the position, free daily meals at one of the restaurants in the facility or free accommodation close to the respective property. The terms of the sectoral collective agreement for hotel employees in Chania apply.

Job description

As a Night Auditor at Corissia Hotels & Resort, you will combine front desk responsibilities with accounting and reporting duties during the overnight shift. You will ensure that guests are welcomed and assisted throughout the night while maintaining the accuracy of financial records and preparing reports for management. Your professionalism, reliability, and strong command of English and German will help guarantee both smooth guest service and precise daily operations.

Typical responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist late-arriving guests, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
  • Handle check-outs and guest requests during night hours with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Perform nightly audits of financial transactions and reconcile daily revenue.
  • Prepare reports summarizing hotel activity and accounting figures for management.
  • Ensure the accuracy of reservations, room charges, and postings in the PMS.
  • Monitor hotel security and safety during the night, addressing incidents as needed.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to prepare for the next day’s operations.

Necessary skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Good command of English and German (spoken and written).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and hotel front office procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly.
  • Experience with PMS and office software (e.g., MS Excel) will be considered an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be highly valued.
