Full-time all year round or seasonal (April - end of October)

Gross salary: € 1000 - 1430

The final salary level will be determined on the basis of merit after the interview. Benefits may include, depending on the position, free daily meals at one of the restaurants in the facility or free accommodation close to the respective property. The terms of the sectoral collective agreement for hotel employees in Chania apply.

Job description

As a Maintenance Technician at Corissia Hotels & Resort, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all hotel facilities. You will handle preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair technical issues, and support the day-to-day needs of different departments. Your skills and dedication will help maintain the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of our guests.

Typical responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, etc.).
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, lighting, and safety equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs in guest rooms, kitchens, and public areas as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring energy consumption and implement efficiency improvements where possible.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations in all maintenance work.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report major issues to supervisors.
  • Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs or inspections are required.
  • Maintain tools, workshop, and storage areas in clean and safe condition.

Necessary skills

  • Technical diploma or proven experience in general maintenance (electrical, plumbing, or mechanical).
  • Hands-on problem-solving ability and practical skills across multiple trades.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of English (Greek or German will be considered an advantage).
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and handle emergency repairs when needed.
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience will be highly valued.
