Barista / Bartender

Full-time all year round or seasonal (April - end of October)

Gross salary: € 1100 - 1600

The final salary level will be determined on the basis of merit after the interview. Benefits may include, depending on the position, free daily meals at one of the restaurants in the facility or free accommodation close to the respective property. The terms of the sectoral collective agreement for hotel employees in Chania apply.

Job description

As a Barista / Bartender at Corissia Hotels & Resort, you will be part of the Food & Beverage team, preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages while ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming and lively atmosphere. You will combine technical skills with creativity and guest interaction, delivering excellent service in our hotel bars. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and positive energy will help create memorable moments for our guests.

Typical responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, cocktails, and other beverages to guests with precision and flair.
  • Provide friendly, professional service at the bar and lounge areas.
  • Engage with guests, take orders, and make recommendations on drinks and snacks.
  • Ensure bar counters, equipment, and supplies are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Follow recipes and hotel standards for beverage preparation and presentation.
  • Check guest identification when serving alcoholic drinks and comply with legal regulations.
  • Handle payments accurately and maintain proper cash register records.
  • Collaborate with the service team to deliver drinks promptly to restaurant or pool areas.
  • Contribute to a lively and welcoming atmosphere that enhances guest experience.

Necessary skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pleasant personality with a guest-oriented and service-driven attitude.
  • Good knowledge of English (German or other languages will be a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of mixology, barista skills, and beverage service standards.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Previous experience in a barista or bartender role will be highly valued.
