Inventory Controller
Full-time all year round or seasonal (April - end of October)
Gross salary: € 1100 - 1250
The final salary level will be determined on the basis of merit after the interview. Benefits may include, depending on the position, free daily meals at one of the restaurants in the facility or free accommodation close to the respective property. The terms of the sectoral collective agreement for hotel employees in Chania apply.

Job description
As an Inventory Controller at Corissia Hotels & Resort, you will support the smooth operation of our hotel outlets by ensuring accurate stock levels, timely replenishment, and proper storage of all materials (FnB, housekeeping, maintenance). You will coordinate with Purchasing, Kitchen, Bars, and Housekeeping to maintain availability, reduce waste, and uphold hygiene and safety standards.
Typical responsibilities
- Receive, check, and record incoming goods against purchase orders (quality, quantity, expiry dates, temperatures).
- Store items correctly (FIFO/FEFO), maintain cleanliness, and ensure compliance with safety and HACCP standards.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery/pick-up to departments according to daily requisitions and schedules.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full stocktakes; investigate variances and report findings.
- Update the inventory/ERP system promptly with receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments.
- Monitor stock levels, shelf life, and consumption trends; propose replenishment and par levels.
- Control breakage, wastage, and write-offs; document and escalate irregularities.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and department heads on delivery times, substitutions, and urgent needs.
- Maintain accurate logs, labels, and documentation; ensure traceability of batch/lot numbers.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment safely; keep storage areas organized and audit-ready.
Necessary skills
- Proven experience in inventory/warehouse control, ideally within hotels or F&B operations.
- Familiarity with inventory/ERP software and strong MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of modern warehousing practices, FIFO/FEFO, and basic HACCP principles.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to handle physical tasks (lifting, moving goods) safely.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and hours; strong teamwork and communication.
