The sandy beach of Stavros

Located in the northwest of the Akrotiri Peninsula, Stavros Bay with its superfine sandy beach is almost circular, the shore slopes down very shallow and toddler-friendly. And the water often shimmers so beautifully blue and turquoise, as if someone had added coloured bath salts. The rock opposite tempts one to invent stories: Many people recognise a camel in it. The beach has already made history anyway: Anthony Quinn danced the famous Zorba dance here for Hollywood and the world in 1964.
