Job Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Cluster General Manager to lead two flagship Hilton properties in Chania. You will oversee the pre-opening and launch of the five-star Hilton Chania Old Town Resort while safeguarding the lifestyle identity and high standards of Chania Flair Boutique Hotel - Tapestry Collection by Hilton. This is a hands-on, visible leadership role accountable for profitability, guest advocacy, brand compliance, and team engagement across both hotels.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Build annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts; maximize revenue and GOP across both properties; drive market share and margin improvement in Rooms, F&B, Spa, and Events.
- Pre-Opening & Launch: Lead the critical path (licensing, OS&E/FF&E, hiring, training, SOPs, tech stack, brand activation, PR). Deliver a flawless opening and ramp-up against defined KPIs.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations; ensure Hilton brand standards, QA audit readiness, H&S, hygiene, sustainability, and asset protection.
- Team Leadership & Development: Inspire, coach, and develop HODs and teams; implement performance management, succession planning, and cross-property collaboration.
- Guest & Community Engagement: Maintain a strong on-property presence; elevate VIP handling and online reputation; cultivate partnerships with local businesses and stakeholders; showcase F&B and conference capabilities.
- Stakeholder & Owner Relations: Provide clear reporting and strategic recommendations to owners and the executive team; represent the hotels at industry and community events.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure legal compliance, data protection, crisis readiness, and workplace safety across both assets.
Necessary skills
- Extensive experience as a General Manager in upscale/luxury hotels or urban resorts; cluster/multi-property leadership is a strong plus.
- Proven success managing openings and pre-openings.
- Strong commercial acumen with P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue/distribution know-how.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; able to inspire diverse, multicultural teams.
- Hands-on, guest-centric approach with flair for public relations and community engagement; track record of outstanding guest satisfaction.
- Understanding of seasonal destination dynamics and year-round operations.
- Fluency in Greek and English; German is a strong advantage.
