We are looking for a high-level, creative and organizational Executive Chef, who will lead the kitchens of Corissia Resorts and our luxury hotels in Chania.

The final salary level will be determined on the basis of merit after the interview. Benefits may include, depending on the position, free daily meals at one of the restaurants in the facility or free accommodation close to the respective property. The terms of the sectoral collective agreement for hotel employees in Chania apply.

Job Description

The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall supervision, organization and development of all kitchen operations, menu planning, dish quality, cost control and large group management. The position is a key pillar in the group's F&B strategy.

The position is one of the most decisive for the group's gastronomic identity and requires experience, leadership and a passion for innovation.

Typical responsibilities

  • Planning & supervising the operation of all hotel kitchens.
  • Ensuring quality, consistency & presentation of dishes.
  • Writing recipes, SOPs, production standards according to brand guidelines.
  • Controlling food cost, inventory, supplies & orders.
  • Selection, training and leadership of Chefs, Sous Chefs & other kitchen staff.
  • Maintain HACCP, food hygiene & safety.
  • Development of seasonal menus, new concepts and innovative culinary proposals.
  • Collaboration with F&B Manager, Quality Manager & Events for excellent customer experience.
  • Monitoring kitchen KPIs & participation in the F&B budget.
  • Representing the brand through culinary presentations & events.
  • Creating a culture of respect, teamwork, cleanliness & professionalism.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, 5–7 years of experience as an Executive or Sous Chef in 5* hotels.
  • Ability to manage large groups & high operational requirements.
  • Knowledge of HACCP & international hygiene standards.
  • Creativity & deep knowledge of modern gastronomic trends.
  • Experience in cost control & F&B budgeting.
  • Strong administrative, communication & organizational skills.
  • Very good knowledge of English.
